The Association de la Montée Historique follows in the footsteps of Viollet-le-Duc
Once again this year, the Association’s traditional rally coincided with European Heritage Days, a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, the illustrious 19th-century architect.
To mark the occasion, the Association de la Montée Historique invited its members to follow in the footsteps of this iconic figure on a journey blending history, culture and discovery.
The day began with breakfast at Magic-Bowling in Laon, before setting off on a 70-kilometre journey punctuated by puzzles, heading for Pierrefonds via Coucy-le-Château.
Lunch was served at the foot of the magnificent Château de Pierrefonds.
The return journey was enlivened by a game which proved a great success with the participants.
A cocktail reception at the restaurant ‘La Boucherie’ in Laon gave everyone the chance to get together in a warm and friendly atmosphere to round off the day.
