34th Circuit Historique de Laon: a blend of passion and tradition

Like every year, the long-awaited reunion of the Circuit Historique de Laon took place in the Parc Foch. For the 34th edition, no fewer than 650 classic cars took to the roads of the Aisne region, on their way to the Folembray racetrack. The route, carefully devised by the organisers, included sections used by the famous Tour de l’Aisne rally.

On arrival at the Folembray track, the vehicles took up positions all around the circuit to pay tribute to this Mecca of Aisne motor sport. Back in the Laonnois, the day ended in a warm atmosphere, with a high-energy rock concert and the traditional ‘verre de l’amitié’.

On Sunday morning, the public were able to admire the vehicles on static display in a number of the town’s most emblematic locations. In the afternoon, the grand parade delighted young and old alike, with one of the highlights being the appearance of 11 Lancia Stratos Replica cars specially flown in from the UK.

Finally, on Monday there was the chance to take in Villers-Cotterêts, with a visit to the Cité Internationale de la Langue Française on the programme, a fitting conclusion to a weekend rich in motoring passion and cultural discoveries.
